'I'll Write You Letters' comes from the Japanese idiom, 'tegami kaku yo'. In Japan when you are saying goodbye to a friend you say tegami kaku yo, which essentially means it was nice to see you, see you later. When tegami kaku yo is translated directly to English, it becomes 'I'll Write You Letters'. This sentiment is one of admiration and respect, and is instilled into the core of the brand.

I began IWYL in Dubai in 2018 because I was tired of what I saw in the stores. Logos on t-shirts, printed and overpriced. No meaning and no depth. That's when I decided to put my own designs into production, and shared these with friends, artists, creatives and DJ's from across the world.
